Dendrobium Orchids vs. Dendrobium Orchid Bouquets

In recent years, Dendrobium Orchids have really grown in popularity. We consider them the epitome of ‘affordable elegance’. Dendrobium Orchids are long-lasting flowers and are widely used in bouquets and arrangements of wedding flowers.

We offer various packages of both bulk Dendrobium Orchids and Dendrobium Orchid bouquets.  Before you make your decision on which package to order, please keep the following in mind:

Bulk Dendrobium Orchids: The bulk Dendrobium Orchids are sold in boxes of 60 stems, 120 stems, and 180 stems.  They are packed in bunches of 10 stems.  These Dendrobium Orchids measure about 16 inches in length.  If you stood a ruler on the ground that was 16″ tall, the first 4″ would be the stem and water tube, the next 5″-6″ would be open flowers (usually about 4-5 mature blooms), and the last 5″-6″ would be buds beginning with the most mature to the least mature.

Dendrobium Orchid Bouquets: The Dendrobium Orchid bouquets are available in various sizes (3-stem, 4-stem, and 5-stem bouquets). The Dendrobium Orchid bouquets are packed as bouquets and include 2 shoots of Sword Fern. The Dendrobium Orchids used in these bouquets are a smaller grade Dendrobium Orchid than what you would receive if you ordered a bulk package of Dendrobium Orchids.  The Dendrobium Orchids in the Dendrobium Orchid Bouquets measure between 12″ and 14″ in overall length.

Both the Dendrobium Orchids in bulk and in bouquet form are wildly popular. The purpose of this blog posting is not to point you in one direction or another… but rather to make you aware of the key differences between these products.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about any of our many varieties of wedding flowers.  We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Winter Wedding Flower Ideas

The holiday season is upon us and while most holiday wedding plans have been taken care of, there are always some last minute details to work out.  We receive a lot of emails from brides wondering what flowers are available to them during the holiday season.  The Wedding Flower Shop offers most flowers year round, and as a result, brides are not limited in their options.  Flowers that would otherwise be unavailable and out of season are ready to be shipped to the customer directly from the flower farm.

When planning a winter wedding it is important to note that there are not set rules for colors or flower choices.  Many brides choose their favorite color and pick their wedding flowers to suit, regardless of the holidays.

Still, the traditional colors of the season are ever popular for weddings.  Rich reds and greens, gold, silver, pale blue and deep purple are a few favorites.

After deciding on the color choices, any bride can add holiday dazzle to her wedding flowers.  Whether simple or elaborate, this season’s holiday flowers are complemented by adding Christmas Greens to vase, altar and centerpiece arrangements as well as bouquets.

Rich hues of Christmas Greens and velvety rose petals give wedding flowers a magnificent complement.

Wreaths, ornate or simply decorated, bring fresh fragrance and elegance to any winter wedding location.

Regardless of what colors and flowers the bride chooses, The Wedding Flower Shop will fulfill her needs.  The Wedding Flower Shop offers a tremendous selection of wedding flowers and rose petals to fit any holiday wedding dream and budget.

Please do not hesitate to give us a call or send us an email if you have any questions about our selection of wedding flowers.

Seasonal Wedding Flowers

During the fall months many fun, warm and somewhat unique colors of wedding flowers burst into bloom. The combinations of oranges, yellows and reds bring together the colors of the fall harvest, the turning of leaves on the trees and memories of sweet smelling pumpkin pie! These colors ultimately signal the arrival of fall and the changing of seasons.

Recently we have had many customers order flowers and packages consisting of the warm reds, yellows and oranges of fall. It takes little effort and imagination to incorporate these iconic colors of fall into wedding flowers, event decorations or even home decor for holiday festivities.

Whether you are looking for wedding flowers, event decorations or simply to have something around the house as additional holiday decorations, The Wedding Flower Shop has a fantastic selection of wedding flowers, rose petals, and wholesale flowers that are just right for you!

Wedding Flowers on a Budget

Set a budget and stick to it!

The setting of a budget is the key to success as you approach the planning of weddings and events while being mindful of money. It is very easy to go overboard on spending, especially for large events such as weddings and events, but careful planning and budgeting will help to ease the burdens of financial worries from your shoulders.

In your endeavors to stay within budget, consider the following:

- Explore DIY (do-it-yourself) wedding flowers: Wedding flowers don’t have to cost a fortune. Consider ordering flowers directly from the flower farms and arranging them yourself!

- ALWAYS ask for a discount: Adopt the mentality that ‘it never hurts to ask’. A simple ‘do you offer any discounts’ or ‘is that your best price’ will go a LONG way. You will find many vendors are always willing (if not expecting) to trim a little off the price.

- Look for ‘local talent’: Friends and relatives are an excellent source for ‘local talent’. You may find that you have chefs, floral designers, and photographers in your midst who are ready and willing to lend a helping hand.

Whether you are planning for a wedding or event, seeking wedding flowers or simple centerpieces, visit The Wedding Flower Shop! We have a huge selection of wedding flowers and wholesale flowers at discount prices. Fix your budget and visit us online for our complete catalog of fresh cut wedding flowers.

Wedding Flower Tips and Trends for 2008

With Valentine’s Day now passed, many brides-to-be have begun looking forward to wedding season 2008. The date has been set, the reception location confirmed, and the bridesmaids’ dresses picked out. With those tasks aside, the focus now turns to the selection of the wedding flowers! However, with the ever-rising costs associated with weddings, the expense of hiring a floral designer can often be overwhelming. To cut costs, the trend among budget conscious brides is to order wholesale flowers in bulk from online sources like The Wedding Flower Shop (www.weddingflowershop.com) and create their own arrangements of wedding flowers.

Wedding Flowers: Calla Lilies

The budget conscious bride (Bride-on-a-Budget) and the idea of arranging your own wedding flowers (DIY Wedding Flowers) is becoming more and more popular throughout the wedding industry. On average, brides spend 8% of their total wedding budget on their wedding flowers. This can mean spending up to $1,000 to $4,000 for flowers alone! Many brides are going the way of do-it-yourself wedding flowers because of the significant cost savings and because they it provides them with the freedom to create wedding flower arrangements that truly reflect their own personality and style.
